Celebrate Board Member Linda Mirabelli
After more than 25 years in Taghkanic, most of which has been spent in service to our town, Linda and Tom Mirabelli are moving to Massachusetts.
In addition to serving on the Town Board, (currently in her fourth term) Linda has worked consistently and tirelessly on our new Zoning Code, which she has helped usher through to its final review. She has served as the Chair of the Financial Advisory Committee, and has been our town representative and secretary for the County Traffic Safety Board for over 20 years. If that weren't enough, Linda has for many years organized the annual Adopt-A-Highway litter pick-up on Highway 82. Linda was a member of the Clean Up Town Hall Committee, which refurbished town hall, and she has maintained the Town Hall plantings for many years.
Linda has always stepped up - lending a hand to the Taghkanic Senior Network, Climate Smart Initiatives, and County Hazard Mitigation Planing. Linda's talents, smarts, and generosity of spirit will be sorely missed and we are so thankful for all her contributions.
Tom has also rolled up his sleeves, serving on both the town's Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Assessment Review for well over 10 years.
Please join us as we celebrate their contributions to our town and wish them a fond farewell. Sunday, October 25th, 12-3pm for a community wide potluck brunch at the Taghkanic Firehouse. We'll have beverages and desserts, please bring a dish to share.
PS - Maybe some scrabble games?!
