Chairman Matt Murell asks Columbia County Residents to Do Their Part!

From Columbia County Board of Supervisors' Chair Matt Murell:

There has been a spike in close contacts of those recently tested positive

for COVID-19. The wider the spread, the greater the risk of more positive cases and hospitalizations. Contacts matter because they have the potential of becoming sick and furthering the spread. To maintain our region's progress to reopen our economy we need to keep these numbers down. How? Everyone must do their part!

Act like you could be infected and do not want to spread it around:

  • Always wear a mask or cloth face-covering when in public

  • Continue to Social Distance

  • Faithfully wash you hands or use hand sanitizer

"We still have a long way to go, but please make these steps a habit!"
