On Saturday, April 30, the Community Clean Up Crew made up of a group of Taghkanic volunteers, set out along State Route 82, walking two miles, from the Performing Arts Center to Taconic Orchards, picking up litter along the highway. We collected 27 large bags of litter, and then enjoyed some coffee and donuts at the Town Hall and shared stories of our "finds".
This year's clean-up was especially meaningful as it was held in memory of our friend and neighbor, Diane Rodriguez, who had organized the clean-up for many years. We miss you, Diane!
Thank you to all those who came out to help. Hope to see you at the next town clean-up!
Thank you, all you nice people, who cleaned up route 82!
