After being closed for a year and a half due to staffing and financial issues, the Copake Rapid Care Center will reopen and begin seeing patients at 9 AM on Monday, June 3. The facility, adjacent to the Community Rescue Squad at 283 Mountainview Road in Copake, will be open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM. All shifts will be staffed by a physician assistant or a nurse practitioner who will see patients of all ages with urgent and non-urgent illnesses, injuries or ailments. The phone number is 518 329-3902.

The Center is able to reopen because of a successful fundraising effort, the Copake Rapid Care Fund, which earlier this year met the threshold necessary to enable the center’s reopening. The fund was established after Copake, with the assistance of Hillsdale, Ancram, Taghkanic, and Gallatin, convinced Columbia Memorial Health (CMH) that Copake Rapid Care was very much needed and worth reopening.

CMH will join with regional community leaders and representatives on June 3 at 1 PM at Copake Rapid Care Center for a grand re-opening celebration. The public is welcome.

Co-located in the same building is CMH’s primary care practice, Callan Family Care, led by Dr. Dorinda Midwood, which provides services by appointment Monday through Thursday.
