Doris Skoda turns 100!


Doris Skoda raised her family at Triple Creek Farm in West Taghkanic. She raised four children there, and now has 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Today she celebrated her 100th birthday at Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Philmont with all her children and their spouses and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in attendance.


Doris was a Charter Member of the Taghkanic Fire Department Auxiliary, that provided support for the Department when they were out on call and helped to fundraise for the volunteer Fire Company. They honored her today with a parade, joining with Philmont and Ancram Fire Companies .
