Doug Tallamy Video at Claverack Library

In celebration of Earth Day, at 10:00 AM on Saturday April 22, the Taghkanic Climate Smart Communities Committee is co-sponsoring a video talk at the Claverack Library by Prof. Douglas Tallamy on Tallamy's Homegrown National Park idea. This will be a repeat of a program the Committee presented at the Taghkanic Firehouse on January 14. Tallamy's fascinating, entertaining and inspiring presentation describes the critical importance of a diverse ecosystem, the serious threats to biodiversity that we face and, most important, concrete actions that each of us can take to make a real difference in maintaining and improving the health of the natural world that we inhabit.

There will be ample opportunity following the presentation for questions and discussion. The program is being co-sponsored with the Claverack Climate Smart Communities Committee and the Claverack Library. If you are unable to attend at that time, the Copake Climate Smart Communities Committee will be showing the program once again on April 22 at 3:00 PM at the Copake Grange.
