Get an Empire Pass at Your Local Library

The 35 annual Empire Passes purchased by the Town of Taghkanic for distribution to Town residents have all been claimed. These passes help get everyone out to the many beautiful parks in New York, and they went like hotcakes.

However, you should know this: All of the Columbia County Libraries have passes that can be borrowed for 3 days (or more if needed). Each library has one pass that can be borrowed for 3 days. These are physical passes, can not be downloaded online, and must be returned to the library. The only thing required to obtain a pass is a library card.

The Columbia County Libraries Association also provides passes to a variety of museums in the Hudson Valley, Albany, the Berkshires and other areas. The link below is for free passes to museums for all Columbia County residents. A library card is required, and the passes can be downloaded from home - no need to worry about returning.
