As you may know, the Taghkanic Town Board recently passed a local law to adopt zoning regulations for accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in the Town of Taghkanic. Per the law, the Town Board believes that allowing such ADUs in the town is a benefit to housing within the town, and provides a benefit to the health, safety, and welfare of town residents. This informational session at Columbia-Greene offers an overview of funding that may be available to property owners through the Columbia County Plus One ADU Program to create affordable rental housing. While County funds available for 2024 have already been issued, it is the Board's expectation that additional funds may become available in 2025.
