PUBLIC NOTICE OF VISUAL IMPACT ASSSESSMENT (BALLOON TEST) PROPOSED CELL TOWER

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems LLC (dba Verizon Wireless, the "Applicant") has filed an application with the Town of Taghkanic Zoning Board of Appeals requesting approval to construct, operate and maintain a public utility / personal wireless service facility (cell tower) located on a portion of lands located at 1115 Route 82 in the Town of Taghkanic, Columbia County, New York (Tax Map Parcel No. 172.-2-39) ("Site"). The proposed facility includes a 150-ft monopole tower structure (154 ft. with lightning rod), antennas, and related equipment at grade.

PUBLIC NOTICE is further hereby given that the Applicant will conduct a visual impact assessment "balloon test" at the Site on Saturday. September 26, 2026 - weather permitting, as directed by the Zoning Board of Appeals, for a minimum of eight (8) hours between the approximate hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. In the event of poor weather conditions or other factors that require a rescheduling of this test, the alternative test date will be Monday, September 28, 2026 or the next available good weather day, exclusive of Sundays.
