Taghkanic Community Solar Campaign Runs through Jan 31st.

Updated: Feb 11, 2022

The Town of Taghkanic launched its Community Solar Campaign on Nov. 15, 2021, with the modest goal of successfully encouraging 30 residents to sign up for community solar with Ampion. We are happy to announce that goal has been surpassed, with 46 residents signing up so far. As a result, in addition to each new subscriber receiving a $50 or $100 Visa gift card, the campaign has generated over $4000 in referral fees for the Town, to be used in future energy-conservation efforts.

We are now extending this invitation/reminder to residents who have not heard about the project, as well as to those who are on the fence or may be procrastinating. The Taghkanic Community Solar Campaign runs through Jan 31, so there is still time to sign up. Residents will receive a $50 Visa gift card when they enroll, as well as a 10% reduction in their annual electric bill, and Ampion will contribute an additional $50 to the Town of Taghkanic. Most importantly, your subscription to community solar will be a positive step in helping to decrease New York’s reliance on fossil fuels as a source of energy.
