Taghkanic Talks is excited to present a viewing of the Doug Tallamy video THE NATURE OF OAKS from 10am - 1pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the West Taghkanic Firehouse, 631 Old Route 82, West Taghkanic. In this video Doug Tallamy highlights the key role Oaks play in our natural ecosystem. Tallamy is a renowned environmentalist and entomologist, bestselling author, and the founder of the Homegrown National Park (HNP) grassroots organization.
The video presentation will be followed by an introduction to and discussion of the town's HNP initiative, which invites residents to get involved and share their experiences through the town's HNP Facebook group.
