Temporary Closure of Gallatin Transfer Station

The Public Works Committee met on Wednesday, November 19th, and recommended the temporary closure of the Gallatin Station from December 1, 2025, through April 10, 2026.

This decision is necessary due to a severe staff shortage, which has made covering Saturday shifts increasingly difficult. For several months, the station has been operating with only one attendant, which is unsafe and unsustainable.
The Solid Waste Department has added this closure to its website.
