Eagle Scout Brayden Skoda

Congratulations to Troop 752's newest Eagle Scout, Brayden Skoda!  Brayden has earned an impressive 106 merit badges which entitled him to be awarded 6 Bronze, 6 Gold and 5 Silver Palms.  He continues to challenge himself by pursuing even more merit badges with the goal of earning every merit badge Scouting America offers, currently 143.  He remains active in the troop and provides guidance to younger scouts as the Troop Guide.

For his Eagle Scout project, Brayden chose to serve the Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center and Conservation Area. He built a bird blind that provides visitors with a designated place to quietly observe and photograph local birds and wildlife without disturbing them. The bird blind will enhance the educational experience for visitors while encouraging a greater appreciation for the area’s natural habitat and the importance of conservation.

Bringing his vision to life required careful planning, approvals, fundraising, coordination, and, most importantly, the leadership of volunteers. Brayden has demonstrated that same commitment to leadership throughout his Scouting journey. Brayden has served as a Troop Guide, Order of the Arrow Troop Representative, Senior Patrol Leader for the Twin Rivers Council's National Jamboree contingent, attended National Youth Leadership Training, and served as camp staff at Rotary Scout Reservation. 

Brayden is a lifelong resident of the Town of Taghkanic and is also involved in many other activities such as 4H and his church.
