Guaranteed Income for Columbia County

The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation through the Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood will be funding a two year guaranteed income program. They will provide two families in each of Columbia County's 21 towns with $500 per month through a confidential lottery. Note that the application process opened on May 1, and runs through July 1!

Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation has launched a new two-year pilot program to support single-caregiver families with young children in all 21 towns in Columbia County. The BTCF Guaranteed Income for Columbia County program will provide $500 per month in unrestricted income for 24 months to two single-caregiver households with children under 6 in each town.
Income Eligibility (80% Area Median Income for Columbia County, 2024): Households must have annual incomes at or below the following amounts, based on household size (all dependent children residing in household are counted along with caregiver):
• 2 people: $66,050
• 3 people: $74,300
• 4 people: $82,550
• 5 people: $89,200
• 6 people: $95,800
• 7 people: $102,400
• 8 people: $109,000
The county-wide program is administered by Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood. Applications are open May 1 through July 1, 2025. Participants will be drawn randomly through a lottery for each town, and selection into the program will be kept strictly confidential.
