The Columbia County Office for the Aging to hold Public Hearing on the 2026-27 Annual Update Pian

The Columbia County Office for the Aging invites all community members, older adults, caregivers, and stakeholders to attend a public hearing regarding our community development needs and the upcoming 2026-27 Annual Update.

Special Programming

In addition to the public hearing, we are pleased to provide valuable insights on:

• MIPP A (Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act)

• The Recharge & Renew Respite Pilot Program

Purpose of the Hearing

In accordance with the Older Americans Act (OAA) and New York State regulations, local Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) must develop a four-year Area Plan with annual updates, This hearing provides a meaningful opportunity for the public to:

1. Review the proposed changes for the 2026·27 period,

2. Provide feedback on the coordinated system of services for older adults,

3. Contribute to planning and coordinating state and federal resources within our community.
