Remember this shot from last year? In 2023, Taghkanic's first year of recycling trees, we had a total of four trees dropped off at the Town Garage. Not many, but four trees that were repurposed as wood chips. Let's see if we can up our numbers this year! Come by the Highway Garage, look for the area out front on Hwy 27 marked by cones, and drop your tree off! Any time between Friday, December 29th and Friday, January 12th. If the Highway crew is there they'll be happy to give you a hand if needed. Wood chips are distributed locally - if you need some, let the Hwy crew know and they can put you on the list to receive.
