Taghkanic Walks Ecological Landscapes

Last weekend, eight community members opened their properties for the public to see how they are creating pollinator-friendly areas with native plants, managing invasives, and creating beautiful native meadows.

Despite the sometimes wet conditions, many people came to see the beauty and to get inspired!

Plans are already underway to hold this event again next year so we can see how things are coming along.

In the meantime, mark your calendars for our next Taghkanic Talks event, Saturday, August 22nd from 10-12 at the Taghkanic Fire Company. We'll have a panel of experts and residents to talk about creating your own meadow. Come and learn what to consider and how to start. RSVP to rsvp@taghkanic.org to save your seat.
