What to do About Weeds - Part 1

Webinar - Tuesday June 6 - from 6:30 to 8 pm.

EVENT DETAILS

The two-part program for invasive species awareness and identification features an online training program and a field training with regional experts from the Capital Region PRISM, a Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management.

Learn about the challenges invasive species pose, common language around how invasives are defined and classified, and how land managers prioritize species for removal and restoration. Some high-threat invasive species will be featured in more depth. We will also provide a brief introduction to the desktop and mobile versions of iMapInvasives, which will be set up and tailored for use on CLC properties. This online training is recommended for anyone who is interested in better understanding invasive species or interested in removing them (on your own property, or as a CLC volunteer!) We will hold an in-person training on June 17 to practice these skills in the field. Bring all of your questions about invasive weeds! You may also want to have a note pad and pen or something similar for taking notes during the training. Click here to register. Please install the iMap Invasives mobile app on your phone and create an account prior to attending the meeting. Co-sponsored by the Taghkanic Conservation Advisory Committee
