Part 2 of this program for invasive species awareness and identification features in-the-field training with regional experts from the Capital Region PRISM, a Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management.
At this field workshop, participants will learn how to identify common invasive species and report them in iMapInvasives, a state-run database. These data will help make conservation-based management decisions at Overmountain Conservation Area. We will use our identification skills and information learned to target an area near the entrance for removal and restoration. Please download the iMapInvasives app and create an account prior to attending the event.Click here to register.Time: Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 9:30am to 12:30pm Location: Overmountain Conservation Area, 138 Cattalino Rd, Ancramdale, NY 12503 Co-sponsored by the Taghkanic Conservation Advisory Committee and the Columbia Land Conservancy.
