Beavers in Taghkanic - Come meet Bo the Beaver
This past summer, Taghkanic installed the first town “beaver deceiver.” The modest wire and wooden structure sits a few feet from the culvert pipe at the intersection of New Forge 1 and East Klein roads. Meet the newest member of the Taghkanic highway department! This 2018 Leeboy 8520 paver will enable the Highway crew to pave more of our roads for less money. Having our own paver means we don't have to contract the work out and can work on our own schedule. Paved roads cost less to maintain, are easier to plow, and snow melts more quickly, using less salt and sand. Community Fridge Thanksgiving Meal Success Story!
At a time when so many are struggling to meet basic needs, our community of donors and volunteers were able to put complete Thanksgiving meals together for over 100 of our neighbors .
